Its summertime, and that means...ROAD TRIP!
The OVCA is hitting the road and bringing "Street Curling" to the Long Sault Fun Fest on Saturday, June 25th.
‘Street Curling’, a no-ice curling system, has been developed by Rock Solid Productions. The special curling surface is made of plastic and, at 14.5 metres (48 feet) long, is approximately one third of the length of a traditional sheet of curling ice. This gives curling fans the opportunity to slide lightweight replica stones along the scaled-down curling sheet just like curling athletes do on the ice!!
Join us at Arnold Bethune Memorial Park (75 Simcoe St) in Long Sault starting at 10am. Try your hand at Street Curling, and meet representatives from area clubs who can help you try the game for real in the fall!
We hope to see you there!
